Perhaps a sale on broad-swords and jousting gear went un-noticed; hence your chance to ward of the Monguls must be delayed until next payday and, as a result may seems like a lost siege- totally frustrating, maddening and belittling.
Yet, isn't it perhaps true that when I, for instance, get so push-out-of-shape and when I focus on the one thing that went 'wrong , it is so easy for me to not recognize the million and twelve things that DID go 'right' but simply went unnoticed- not to mention unappreciated?
Being human is no excuse. Being human makes falling into this pit all the more ridiculous?
