There heroes who have never done anything heroic, awesome writers who never pick up a pen, and singers who listen to choir and imagine, imagine, imagine.
I have networked for years for business and/or fun.
One thing I learned is that there is always someone out there who will flow with you, energize you (and be energized), and be happy to share your dreams and ideas.
The catch is finding that person(s).
I, for one, have been fortunate, or stubborn, or both. My friends are very supportive and I have met some strangers who actually WANT to work with me on my projects. The "Universe of Void.com" is one of them.
I advertised in the free newspaper in San Diego. Aaron the artist responded and I could not have imagined a more genius-type talent to help me build my dream- a booth at Comic-Con , San Diego. He was more valuable that I was to myself.
What I would like to impart to you is this: how to 'SIFT' out those who will only take your time and not your passions.
To find those persons, one must be always looking, listening, and introducing oneself and explaining one's intentions. If you explain what you are doing and they talk about themselves- pass. If they don't look excited, or engaged-pass. If they say, I would like to do this or that sometime-pass. If they say that they might want to do something with you- pass. Pass out? No, simply know that their tracks do not parallel yours. They will 'sort' themselves, but here is the KEY!
The willing will appear and you will go forward with them, not pull them up the hill. They will be excited, energized, and feel that it is worth their effort.
In other words, 'true helpers' are out there and one can not make one appear- one can only recognize them when they DO appear, and they WILL!
Ain't that cool? So . . . if you have a dream, share it and keep sharing it until the 'cavalry' you have found is assembled. They may do one tiny thing, or contribute like and army. All adds up to looking for the right people because they are there, just waiting to be involved in something that they and YU belive in!
Keep the FAITH!
