Those fortunate enough to attend this year's event were not disappointed in any category (unless you were the author who was too late to pick up the latest HOT WHEELS "Star Wars" car, . . . but lest I digress . . .).
With a record crowd, street-side displays outside of the San Diego Convention Center itself busting all around (some figuratively speaking- if you catch my drift), including one day of much-welcomed rain, the events continued flourished during this annual and epic four-day event!
Whether you are into anime, super-heroes, comics, gaming, or dressing up like your heroes, fun was had by all.
Fans are able to find a host of other like-minded individuals who share this bizarre world of make-believe and creativity.
Looks like the arch-villain: the City of Anaheim will have to cower back into the crevices as I hear that the Convention Center itself will be expanded and not vanquished by the neighboring hordes that were laying seize to pillage away the HUGE amount of revenue that the City of San Diego, and the locals, rake in during this Convention.
(PS: We'll be interested to see how San Diego planners do this with so little free land available.)
So, was the tension of seeing if one would actually procure a coveted ticket, spending the money to travel, in some cases from other countries, stay with the elevated room rates and live on ketchup and water like a 'ski-bum' in the winter worth it?
Well, the answer . . . . . is . . . .
OH YEAH!
Photos and videos are on their way!
