The way I learned to appreciate art, even though my Dad was an artist, was when I attempted to draw a crooked line. Then I tried to put other lines together to look like something recognizable. Years later I can say I am now a "Master of Advanced Doodling."
The point? OH, yes. . . . . Just when you think your mind is spent, and no further mind-blowing surges can happen- you go to a LOCAL ART SHOW!
That's the point! You, like me, might be absolutely amazed at the talent that lurks in unnamed, obscure studios in your own home town.
You may live in a trailer park in Wyoming, or dwell a shelled out log on a Louisiana bijou, but YOU are no less welcomed to share your genius than anyone in NY or H-Wood! There is SO much for you to see, do, and give recognition to, in your own town.
www.goblintowncreations.com is one example of a 'thousand word picture', or should I say 'bevy of marvelously weird sculptures', that is worth a thousand words all meaning- Cool Dude! (California speak for 'great').
DONOVAN CONWAY PHOTOGRAPHY- gave us all an experience of seeing the 'normal' side of nature portrayed in a new and enjoyable way as well. Many others were there, so check out your local art scene
See U at your LOCAL art exhibit!
Director Doug- that's a blog rap.
