Just a reminder to encourage you to think constantly about your plans for the next event!
Keeping up with who will be there will make your CON more enjoyable. Perhaps you have a favorite v/o artist. photographer, comic celebrity who will be attending. Keeping up with FaceBook is a good way to see what's happening soon.
As we mentioned before: ride-sharing (with good drivers), bringing water and a snack keeps you alert. You might want to do a quick 'walk-through' when you first arrive, and then go back to spend time with your favorite vendor, artist.
If your cosplay costume warrants it- wear comfortable shoes. If NOT, sneak in a pair and trade off if you are going to walk around for hours-not uncommon.
BIG conventions? We carried a walkie=talking and it SAVED me from losing my camera!! Communication is key at events- especially if held at different floor-levels like the San Diego Comic Con where I almost lost the camera. This way, you can split up and know when are where each of you are!
Do NOT lose your car keys. One man left his at our booth at Rick Pheoung's Ani-Me Con in Fresno, but luckily he found then when we announced it over the loudspeaker!
Cosplay contests are usually near the end of the day, and are very popular, so find out when they are held, and arrive early for good seats!
