French invasion in black and whilte

"Only in the movies". Never a predictable moment when it comes to our movie industry.
Now a French film taking honors and a flick without color. Are we regressing?
Kudos to the winners. The story, cinematography, and message supersedes glitz and glamor- finally.
Good to see a movie that is awarded for its artistic qualities and more than box office familiar faces.
So, where is our home-grown talent and story coming from- or where did it go?
Is this a trend?  Let's see how future films are morphed to fit an unfamiliar mold, OR was a creative distraction done-and back to the 'norm'?
Let's see what they do next year and in between!
