Sunday school memories include a story about it not pleasing God if we hide our talents under a 'bushel' . . . Some of you will probably know the verse. The gist is, (in my words) is that we have gifts and they are ours- to SHARE.
This is a little prose/poem you might enjoy reading- and acting upon- if you so choose.
Here goes:
The “Doers”
There are heroes who never engage, winners who never enter the game, writers who have yet to pick up a pen, great orators who are content to listen and great minds that never think.
Then, there are the rest of us who are not the ‘best’, but who are the ‘doers’.
We strive to improve, to do give more, and to live more productively, and sometimes more wildly, than the minds of geniuses and greater talents that sadly squander their lives to dust- literally.
Which one are you?
