Ever gone through life and used phrases and never thought about what they mean?
I remember saying ' the last draw". It is really the last 'straw' I think. I figured the last draw made sense cause I grew up on cowboy TV show, I guess.
The mind creates a scenario when one does not hear, nor really understand what one is told all the time. We (actors) do not listen under stress. This is called 'actors noise'. It is critical to listen to what the Director/Casting Agents say. It can be the difference between getting and not getting the part. They need to know one is 'directible" or not. We mean well, but little things can be large. Important to learn to listen to everyone on a daily basis so that when the pressure is on- one has another talent tempered and in the bag.
